Dr. Kraft believes that
patient care should be based solely on an individual’s
needs and concerns. There are no one-size-fits-all
solutions practiced at Total Eye Care. |

All patients are personally seen by me.
After a thorough eye exam, I discuss the findings with
specific attention to the following: cataracts, glaucoma,
diabetes, macular degeneration, high blood pressure, dry
eyes and allergies.
I take an individualized approach to each patient, keeping
in mind their age, visual needs, and expectations.
I talk to my patients about their general overall health,
with particular focus on actual or potential eye problems.
If a patient expresses concerns about a family history of a
specific eye disease, we thoroughly discuss that as well.
I engage patients in a lifestyle discussion with special
emphasis on work, sports and other activities. I then make
recommendations appropriate to the patient’s needs and
prescription on the best optical correction:
whether glasses, contact lenses or surgery involving LASIK
or intraocular implants.
For example, a younger person may just need LASIK whereas
other patients may benefit from refractive lens surgery. For
those patients desiring to reduce their dependence on
glasses but who have astigmatism, I would, in all
likelihood, recommend a multifocal IOL implant followed by
LASIK surgery to correct the underlying astigmatism.
I try to educate my patients on the latest technology to
make sure they have the facts to determine the best option
for their specific needs.
If surgery is that option, I perform all pre-operative
testing; I perform the surgery; and I personally provide the
post operative care as well.
And, as always, I am available by phone 24 hours a day.
